Cookie Policy
How we use cookies.
Last updated: March 2026
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow a site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in, or which pages you've viewed — across sessions and page loads. Cookies are standard on the web and are supported by every modern browser.
Cookies we use
GoodEvening.tv uses two categories of cookies:
PostHog analytics cookies (ph_*)
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics: page views, feature interactions, and general usage patterns. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information and never include the content of your scripts.
PostHog is configured with cross_subdomain_cookie: true, which means the same
anonymous session identifier is maintained across goodevening.tv and
app.goodevening.tv. This lets us understand how visitors move from the
marketing site to the app — for example, how many people who read the pricing page go on to
open the app. No personal data is linked to this identifier.
Supabase authentication cookies (sb-*)
These cookies are set only when you sign in to a GoodEvening.tv account. They maintain your authenticated session so you don't need to log in on every page load. These are functional cookies required for the app to work when you are logged in. If you use GoodEvening.tv without an account (the free tier), no Supabase cookies are set.
Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking pixels. PostHog is our only analytics provider. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
How to opt out of analytics
You can disable PostHog analytics in two ways:
- In the app: Go to Settings → Data → Analytics and toggle analytics off. This takes effect immediately and no further events will be sent.
- In your browser: Block cookies from
us.i.posthog.comusing your browser's built-in content blocker, a browser extension (such as uBlock Origin), or your browser's privacy settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies entirely, which will also prevent PostHog from setting cookies.
How to delete cookies
You can delete all cookies stored by GoodEvening.tv at any time through your browser settings. The exact steps vary by browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data
Note that deleting authentication cookies will sign you out of your GoodEvening.tv account. Deleting analytics cookies will cause PostHog to generate a new anonymous session identifier on your next visit.
